Q: When should I seek help from a speech-language pathologist?
A: Although speech-language pathologists refer to speech-language developmental milestones, every child develops at a different rate. As the parent, you know your child best. If you suspect your child has a problem with his or her speech-language development, we suggest seeking the opinion of a speech pathology professional without delay. Early intervention greatly increases the chances for progress and for future success!
Q: How do I initiate services?
A: If you are interested in speech-language services, please contact us and we will do an initial phone intake to gather information about your child including biographical information, speech-language development/concerns, prior evaluations/therapy and services in which you may be interested.
Following the intake, you will be asked to complete the necessary forms including a therapist-patient agreement which will outline policies, procedures and fees. Once the forms are received, we may schedule an appointment for an evaluation, or if your child has already been evaluated, we will schedule an initial therapy session.
