Jamey Lord earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Speech Pathology from Indiana University. She has more than 30 years experience as a speech-language pathologist working with preschool and elementary-aged children. Before opening the private practice, Jamey worked as a school-based speech-language pathologist in North Carolina and Virginia.
Jamey is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed to practice speech-language therapy with the State of Virginia.
Jamey has experience working with a wide range of clients including, but not limited to, children with:
- articulation and / or language delays
- developmental delays
- auditory processing disorders
- phonological awareness/reading-readiness delays
- pragmatic / social skill delays
She has also used her expertise by serving as a clinical supervisor to graduate students from local universities. Jamey believes in the importance of sharing her knowledge with clinicians new to the field. She is also a lifelong learner in the field – completing many continuing education workshops and courses each year.
Jamey lives and works in Springfield, Virginia. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
